How to Air Fry Wonderful Waffles

With all the kitchen devices we are presented within this day and age, we all find ourselves having to make choices about what gets to stay on the counter. You should be aware that using your air fryer to make waffles will be the same as using your toaster, if you use your air fryer more frequently than you do your toaster.

Needless to say, if you’re in a hurry or have kids, it’s an easy way to get everyone moving in the morning with whatever kind of waffles you prefer.

Ingredients

No unexpected ingredients are present. Get creative with your toppings to keep it interesting.

  • 2 Frozen Waffles – Although Eggos are excellent, you can use any of your preferred brands.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter – Honey-cinnamon butter is an amazing way to add some extra flavor!
  • Syrup – Other enjoyable ways to change things up are with jam or nut butter.

Step-by-step Instructions

It’s as easy as it sounds. You only need an air fryer, a few minutes, and a hungry stomach.

  1. Stack waffles in the basket. Arrange 2 frozen waffles in a single layer, flat against the air fryer basket. The basket doesn’t require any prior grease.
  2. Cook. Bake at 400℉ (205℃) for 3 minutes before flipping it. Cook for a further 2 minutes. When you take it out, it should be golden and crisp to your preferred level.
  3. Add toppings and eat. Spread on some butter and serve with your favorite additions.

Top with anything! I love fruit, syrup, nuts or nut butters, powdered sugar, hemp hearts, jam, pie filling, etc. Enjoy!

TIPS & RECIPE NOTES

  • Use frozen waffles. Not using thawed or fresh batter, this recipe is specifically made for frozen waffles.
  • They cook more quickly the more you make. Profit from the air fryer’s complete heating. It will take less time to process additional batches.
  • Don’t fill the basket to the brim. Overlapping waffles won’t make them crispy in the air fryer. Ensure that they are layered evenly and in a single layer.

STORING & REHEATING

Storing

These can be prepared so quickly that you should really only prepare what you intend to eat. However, if you overestimated, they’ll keep for up to three days in the refrigerator in an airtight container or wrapped in foil.

I don’t recommend re-freezing these as it will negatively affect the texture.

Reheating

Reheat in the air fryer at 400℉ (205℃) or the toaster for a few minutes until hot. Be aware that reheating a second time could dry out the waffles.
